IMFA News

We are rapidly approaching our 22nd Annual International Seminar. REGISTER HERE – https://www.imfa.org/seminar-2019/

We have a world-class line up of speakers, as well as industry specialists who will be heading up panels for the very popular “Breakout Sessions”. For those that did not attend last year’s San Diego seminar, the Breakouts were a new introduction last year and were extremely well received and supported. It is an informal forum where participation and interaction are encouraged.

Anyone in the industry and even from the fringes will recognize the breadth and depth of quality we have in the six main speaker line up as well as our Key note Kathy Kneer. We will be touching on current industry and regulatory issues, marketing, recyclability, facilities, risk assessment and more.

As always we provide unique networking opportunities that cannot be repeated anywhere else in the world for our industry. These have been built into the program as well as the mornings and evenings outside of the speaker program. Time slots.

Our eligible members have an opportunity this year to nominate and vote on two Board of Director vacancies, Doug Henry and Mitch Rock are up for rotation with Doug available for re-election and Mitch deciding after many years of loyal service, to move on due to other commitments. The nominations have already started coming in and it should be a lively process in the Members only meeting on Friday afternoon.

This year we held our very first packaging design competition, which was contested by a number of teams from US Universities. Over and above the speaker line up we have, the team leader of our winning university team presenting their design. This is something we fully intend growing in the future as it ensures the exposure of our industry to those influencing future packaging designs.

If you are receiving this mail it is because you have either attended our seminar in the last few years or have had some level of correspondence with IMFA. If you have not yet registered and are still involved in any way in our industry, I encourage joining us in Washington. It could be a very wise investment of your time.

Hoping to see you on the 6th March.

Kind regards
Gary
