“A year ago, more than 200,000 tons of mixed paper and about 75,000 tons of scrap plastics were sent to China, and now, in the first quarter of 2018, nearly zero tons were sent due to the new restrictions,” said Biderman.
“Plastics bags and bottles not only pollute our oceans, rivers, and bays, clog storm drains, but harm our marine and aquatic environment.”
