Purpose
To provide a consistent and equitable approach to onboarding new members throughout the calendar year, the International Molded Fiber Association (IMFA) shall offer prorated membership dues on a quarterly basis.
Policy Statement
IMFA annual membership dues shall be prorated based on the quarter in which a new member joins. This approach ensures fairness while maintaining administrative simplicity and alignment with the Association’s fiscal year.
Proration Structure
Membership dues will be assessed according to the following quarterly schedule, based on the date application is approved:
- Q1 (January 1 – March 31): 100% of annual dues
- Q2 (April 1 – June 30): 75% of annual dues
- Q3 (July 1 – September 30): 50% of annual dues
- Q4 (October 1 – December 31): 25% of annual dues
All prorated memberships will expire on December 31 of the applicable year. Renewal invoices are issued at the full annual rate for the following year.

Additional Provisions
Membership is activated and benefits begin upon receipt of payment. This policy applies to new members only. Renewing members are invoiced at the full annual rate regardless of renewal timing.
Administration
IMFA’s management staff are responsible for applying the appropriate prorated rate at the time of invoicing and maintaining the dues schedule for all membership tiers.
Effective Date
This policy became effective upon approval by the IMFA Board of Directors on May 24, 2026.
